TIMESLIPS UPDATES

Did you know that you can eliminate many bothersome program quirks and errors by making sure you have the most recent patches/updates installed?  As opposed to upgrading your version of the program, which can cost hundreds of dollars and involve a consultant, patching/updating your installation is relatively simple and costs nothing.  You can download the latest Timeslips updates for free by clicking on the link below:

Once there, please select your version of the program then click "Search for Updates".  When the list of updates appears, you must download each of the available updates that have not been applied to your system.  The updates will end in an “exe” extension.  For example 2010SR1.EXE. After downloading the update, usually to your desktop, you then double click the update and select the location on the server of your Timeslips installation; for example “T:\Timeslips”.  The update will be applied to the server and automatically to each user when they logon the next time.  You don't need to do anything else.  If you receive a message that states that there are no files that need updating, then you probably already have the latest patch installed.  To verify this, in Timeslips you can click on "Help" and then "About Timeslips" to see the build number.  A list of the most recent build numbers for each version of the program is listed below.

Quickly Selecting or De-Selecting From a List in Timeslips®

  If you have worked with Timeslips® for a significant amount of time, then you are familiar with the chore that this can become; especially if the list you are working with is very long.  Say for example, selecting which clients to bill by placing or removing the check-mark in the box.  You can move past this step significantly faster by…gasp…letting go of your mouse!  Yes, we said it.  You can select and deselect much more quickly by using only your keyboard using the following keys:
